Francis
Ledwidge Memorial Plaque
The
beautiful bronze plaque which is set into the front
wall of the Francis Ledwidge Museum is the work of the
famous Cork sculptor, Seamus Murphy R.H.A.. The plaque
was originally placed on the bridge at Slane over the
River Boyne and later moved to the Museum.
The
plaque was unveiled on September 9th 1962 by Rev. Peter
Connolly, Professor of English at Maynooth College.
